Fleur de Lis FAQ
Frequently Asked Flower Questions
Q. When will my flowers be delivered?
A. Deliveries take place during store hours of 10am - 6pm. If you request morning delivery, your order will be delivered by Noon. If your order is going to a business, your order will be delivered by 5pm, no later.
Q. How long will my flowers last?
A. We generally say 3 to 5 days depending on the selection of flowers included in your arrangement. With proper care and adding water to your vase you may get longer life out of them. If you experience issues with your flowers within the first 24 hours, please call us for potential replacement.
Q. Can I order the arrangement that is in the black and white striped box?
A. Yes, all of our arrangements are designed within glass vases and packed in our black and white striped boxes. If you choose to leave the piece in the box, please remember to add water to the vase inside the box every 2-3 days.
Q. How often should I change the water in my vase?
A. We suggest adding water to your vase every 2-3 days. If you wish to flush the old water out, simply place the vase in the sink and secure the fossett head inside the lip of the vase and let the water run out until clear.
Q. How much does delivery cost?
A. Delivery withing the city ranges from $10 to $20 depending on the zip code. We also offer delivery to most surround suburbs, call to inquire for location and pricing.
Q. Can you send me a photo of the arrangement I order?
A. Yes, there will be a service fee of $5.
Q. If I put my flowers in the fridge at night will they last longer?
A. We don’t suggest putting flowers in the fridge unless it has never had food in it. Fruits and vegetables create a gas called ethylene gas that when exposed to flowers will kill them. They will start to brown and wilt.
Q. Why do you suggest a low and lush style arrangement as opposed to a tall arrangement?
A. Because the shorter style arrangement will live longer. The lower the head of the flower to the vase and water source, the longer the flowers will live. Longer stems take longer for the water to get to the head of the flower.
Q. How do I care for my orchid plant?
A. We suggest checking the plants soil once a week for dryness. If it is dry to the touch then proceed with watering, but make sure not to over water. We suggest adding about 1/2 cup equally distributed through out pot. Watering will vary depending on the environment it is in.
Q. Is my arrangement pet friendly?
A. Almost all flowers and plants are poisonous to cats and dogs if ingested. We suggest placing the flowers out of the reach of your pets.
Q. Do you use carnations, mums and babies breath?
A. We do not use these products unless pre-requested as they are not items that we keep in stock on a daily basis.
